Typhoon Bualoi heads towards Vietnam

The observatory says Typhoon Bualoi will not have a direct impact on Hong Kong as it moves across the seas south of Hainan Island today.
The weather was cloudy and windy during the day.
The observatory says at 4 p.m., Bualoi was centred about 150 kilometres north-northwest of Da Nang in Vietnam. It is forecast to move west-northwest at about 22 kilometres an hour towards and across the northern part of Vietnam.
Weather authorities say residents should expect some scorching hot days over the following days.
In Sanya, Hainan Province, authorities issued an high alert on Bualoi and suspended all flights between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Several cities and counties in Hainan have announced school closures.
