Trump orders deployment of troops to Portland ICE facilities

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Saturday he will send federal troops to handle domestic terrorists in what he described as "war-ravaged Portland," as he expands his immigration crackdown. 

The move also comes after a gunman opened fire and killed one detainee at an ICE Dallas field office.  

Trump's plan was rejected by local officials, who said there's no national security threat in Portland. NBC reports.
