Rural Gansu hit by 5.6-magnitude quake

A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck Longxi County in Gansu Province Saturday morning, according to the China Earthquake Networks Centre.
The quake struck at a depth of 10 kilometres.
8 injuries have been reported so far, but houses and other structures in Longxi County were damaged.
Rescuers from various units within China have arrived at the epicentre, and the office of the State Council earthquake relief headquarters has sent a work team to the quake-hit areas to further boost relief efforts.
