Labour Department deploys small unmanned drones to curb unsafe work practices

Starting October, the Labour Department will deploy small unmanned aircraft to conduct inspections and enforcement in various workplaces such as construction sites.
Upon detecting unsafe work activities, the small unmanned aircraft will take photos and videos from a height for evidence before deploying law enforcement to enter the sites.
The Labour Department said the drones are equipped with superzoom and high-resolution cameras, capable of shooting remote aerial photography and videography.
