The Observatory has cancelled all typhoon signals.

Tropical Storm Ragasa was centred about 590 kilometres west of Hong Kong and is forecast to move west at about 18 kilometres per hour crossing the coast of Guangxi towards the northern part of Vietnam and weaken gradually.

Under the combined effect of the ridge of high pressure over the coast of southeastern China and Ragasa, there will still be strong winds offshore and on high ground today.

Occasional squally showers and thunderstorms are expected today. Showers will be heavier at first. There will be swells.

Members of the public are advised to stay away from the shoreline and not to engage in water sports.
