As Severe Typhoon Ragasa is moving away from Hong Kong, the observatory has downgraded the storm warning to the Strong Wind Signal No. 3 at 8:20 p.m. which is expected to stay in effect at least until 7 a.m.

The No. 8 Southeast Gale or Storm Signal had been in force for seven hours this afternoon with the Hurricane Signal No. 10 hoisted some 10 hours overnight.

Primary and secondary schools are expected to resume classes.

But classes of morning and whole-day kindergartens, schools for children with physical disability and schools for children with intellectual disability will be suspended tomorrow.

The schooling arrangements for classes of afternoon kindergartens will be announced tomorrow.

Mong Kok has become less deserted tonight as Ragasa churns further away.

But traces of Ragasa's destruction still scarred the streetscape.

While cleaners toil to clear the debris, these dangling mid-air are harder to be handled tonight.

In Sai Ying Pun, a tree collapsed onto a taxi parked on the roadside and had to be moved away with heavy machinery.

Similar sights in Heng Fa Chuen in the Eastern District and Tseung Kwan O as well.
