Man found guilty of trying to assassinate Donald Trump last year in Florida

After a two-week trial, a jury took just two hours to convict Ryan Routh of trying to assassinate Donald Trump on a Florida golf course last year.
Routh was found guilty Tuesday on all counts by a federal jury of seven women and five men.
He had declined to testify the previous day as part of a defence in which he was representing himself.
After the verdict was read, Routh tried to stab himself in the neck with a pen and officers quickly dragged him out.
After order was restored in court, Routh was brought before U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, this time in shackles.
Cannon announced Routh will be sentenced on December 18th. He faces life in prison.
The plot was undone at Trump's Florida golf course when a Secret Service agent spotted Routh and fired a shot that sent him running.
