The Qarhan Salt Lake in Qinghai is China's largest salt lake, covering a total area of 5,856 square kilometers.
Qarhan means "world of salt" in Mongolian. The apple-green waters and white salt flats complement each other in the early autumn sun, creating a vibrant palette of colours.
