Guangdong records 2426 chikungunya fever cases last week

Guangdong Province recorded a total of 2,426 cases of chikungunya fever last week.
Authorities from the Guangdong Provincial Disease Control and Prevention Administration said 2,238 cases were recorded in Jiangmen city.
Experts said September and October are the active mosquito season in Guangdong because of factors such as typhoons and festivals.
