Russia rivals Eurovision with Intervision

Russia's answer to the Eurovision Song Contest - Intervision - takes place in Moscow tonight with Wang Xi representing China against 22 other nations.
Among other countries trying to be number one and win a cash prize of 380,000 US dollars are South Africa, Cuba and Saudi Arabia.
There is even a representative from the United States.
Belarus and Serbia are the only European countries involved.
The event will focus on "traditional values" in contrast the flamboyant style of Eurovision and came after a decree by Vladimir Putin.
Russia was kicked out of Eurovision because of its invasion of Ukraine.
Intervision is named after a Soviet era contest which ran from the sixties to the eighties.
