NBC News reports an announcement has sent shock waves across politics and media as ABC pulls late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel off the air.

Kimmel was suspended after comments he made in the wake of the death of Charlie Kirk.

U.S. President Donald Trump praised the move and suggested broadcasters who regularly criticised him should have their licences pulled.

This as former president Barack Obama said the Trump administration has taken cancel culture to a new and dangerous level.
