ABC suspended Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show indefinitely after comments that he made about Charlie Kirk's killing.
It led to a group of ABC-affiliated stations saying it would not air the show.
The veteran late-night comic and host of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" made comments on Monday and Tuesday nights that "many in MAGA land are working very hard to capitalise on the murder of Charlie Kirk."
Nexstar Communications Group said it would pull the show starting on Wednesday.
President Donald Trump celebrated on social media site Truth Social, writing: "Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done."
Hollywood blasted the White House for targeting free speech. Unions representing writers and actors said ABC should not have caved in to U.S. government pressure.
