U.S. President Donald Trump will meet British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on the final day of his state visit to Britain Thursday, with tech investment, steel tariffs and potentially tricky topics on the agenda.

This as the president and first lady Melania were feted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle Wednesday with all the pageantry the monarchy could muster, culminating in a glittering evening banquet in a grand ceremonial hall.

Tracey Furniss has more.

The U.S. Army Old Guard Fife and Drums Corp in military uniform reminiscent of the American Revolution more than 200 years ago. Then a marching band played on the East Lawn of Windsor Castle.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and wife, Victoria, in attendance as the U.S. president and King Charles III arrived, followed close behind by Queen Camilla and Melania Trump.

The Star-Spangled Banner was played, then a Beating Retreat military parade featuring 200-plus musicians -- a military ceremony dating back to the 1600s once used to call patrolling soldiers back to their castle.

Next the bagpipes - a nod to Trump's Scottish heritage.

A scheduled flypast by F-35 jets from the UK and U.S. militaries was scrapped because of poor weather conditions.

But that didn't stop the Red Arrows -- the Royal Air Force's aerobatic display team -- which thundered overhead, leaving streaks of red, white and blue smoke in their wake.

A state banquet in St. George's Hall, Windsor Castle Wednesday evening featured a breathtaking 42.32 metre-long table seating 160 guests, set with139 candles and 1,452 pieces of cutlery.

Special guests included former golfer Nick Faldo, Open AI CEO Sam Altman, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, The Prince and Princess of Wales and Princess Anne.

In his banquet toast, Trump celebrated the priceless and eternal U.S.-UK relationship. "We're joined bUy history and fate and by love and language and by transcendent ties of culture, tradition, ancestry and destiny. The bond of kinship and identity between America and the United Kingdom is priceless and eternal. It's irreplaceable and unbreakable," Trump said.

This as anti-Trump protests continued in London's Parliament Square with speakers criticising the cost of the state visit.

Demonstrators too holding placards, flags and even an inflatable Trump baby.
