Bulgaria arrests Russian wanted in connection with 2020 Beirut blast

Bulgaria confirmed the arrest of a Russian ship owner wanted for questioning about a massive explosion in Beirut's port five years ago which killed 219 people.
Igor Grechushkin, who is 48, is wanted in Lebanon and is on an Interpol list.
Bulgarian border police say he was taken into custody last week.
Lebanon has forty days to seek his extradition.
Grechushkin, who holds dual Russian-Cypriot citizenship, is linked to a cargo of ammonium nitrate thought be the cause of the blast.
The suspect was arrested at Sofia Airport after arriving from Cyprus and did not resist arrest.
