The chief executive is set to deliver his latest policy address on Wednesday.
It's understood the government is planning to extend the extra tax allowances for newborns from just the first year to the first two years after birth.
Since the 2023/24 tax year, parents have been eligible for a basic child allowance of 130,000 dollars per child, with an additional one-off allowance of 130,000 dollars granted in the first year after the child's birth.
Sources say this extra allowance will be extended for a second year, allowing parents to claim 260,000 dollars in the two years after the child's birth.
