Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with the president of the National Council of Slovenia as part of his current visit to Europe.
In his meeting with Marko Lotric, Wang underlines that China and Europe are partners, not rivals.
Noting that China's continuous development will offer opportunities to countries around the world, Wang says he hopes Slovenia will firmly support the "One-China principle" and play an active role in promoting healthy and stable China-EU relations.
Lotric, meanwhile, says the Slovenia-China friendly ties are built on mutual benefit with rapidly developing trade cooperation.
After a two-day stay in Slovenia, Wang's final stop on his European trip will be Poland, where discussions are expected to touch on the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
