A massive fire ripped through a residential area of the Philippine capital, affecting about 1,000 families.
The huge blaze broke out in the "Happy Land" area in Tondo, Manila on Saturday evening.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region, the fire occurred originated from the second floor of a two-storey residential building reportedly made from light materials.
The blaze later spread to other buildings. No fatalities were reported but three people were injured.
