16,000 Hong Kong volunteers to assist 15th National Games

The 15th National Games will start in less than two months.
A pledging ceremony for the Hong Kong Volunteer Programme was held today in Queen Elizabeth Stadium.
Nearly 1,800 volunteers took part in the pledging ceremony, witnessed by Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law, Head of National Games Coordination Office Yeung Tak-keung, and others officials.
Olympic gold medal-winning Hong Kong fencer Vivian Kong also attended the event as an ambassador.
Some 16,000 people signed up to be a volunteer.
1,000 of them are aged between 15 and 17, with the oldest being 80.
