According to the Observatory, the city is set for showers and squally thunderstorms in the latter part of next week.

The city 's weather forecaster says a low-pressure area is likely going to move into the South China Sea early next week. It is expected to be a relatively weak one.

A second one is developing in a more favourable environment and may enter the South China Sea in the mid to later parts of next week.

A third is expected to develop to the east of the Philippines. Whether this one will move near the Luzon Strait towards the end of next week remains to be seen.
