HK's legislators pass basketball betting bill

The Legislative Council on Thursday approved the passage of the basketball betting bill.
Speaking to the media, Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs Alice Mak said the government would step up its education on illegal gambling.
ALICE MAK ,Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs: "We will launch a series of new measures, including public education and publicity measures, focusing on the teenagers. Altogether, under the Ping Wo Fund, we will have five education and support centres to help those have problems with illegal gambling, or excessive gambling."
