18-year-old HKU mainland student died from suicide, reportedly falling victim to scam

An 18-year-old mainland student died from suicide in Hong Kong.
Sources said she had fallen victim to a scam in which fraudsters posed as government officials.
The police said a woman was found lying in a residential building in Sai Wan at around 2 a.m. Wednesday night.
She was certified dead after being rushed to Queen Mary Hospital.
It was understood the deceased woman was a student in the University of Hong Kong and had reportedly fallen victim to a scam case.
Investigations are underway.
