The U.S. Supreme Court granted an unusually quick hearing on President Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs.
The justices will hear the case in November this year; a fast timetable by the Supreme Court's typical standards.
In the meantime, the tariffs will stay in place .
The court agreed to take up an appeal from the Trump administration after lower courts found most of his tariffs illegal.
Earlier, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that the U.S. would have to refund about half of the tariffs if the court rules against the legality of Trump's use of an emergency powers law.
