Israel launched a strike targeting Hamas' leaders in Qatar, intensifying its campaign against the militant group and endangering negotiations over ending the war in Gaza.

Streets in Qatar's capital Doha descended into chaos as the strikes rained down.

Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu said he gave the go ahead for the strike after Hamas targeted Israeli citizens at a bus stop in Jerusalem killing six people.
