Donald Trump's visit to the U.S. Open men's tennis final caused a 30-minute delay because of increased security required for the U.S. president.
A mixed reaction for Trump as he entered Arthur Ashe stadium in New York City. Some applause could be heard. Trump later said the fans were "great" for a "liberal progressive crowd."
Some fans took pictures of the president on their phones. Then as the national anthem was sung, some cheers when Trump was shown on the big screen, causing the president to smile.
Later, when he was shown again, there were a few boos with some fans saying they personally blamed him for the delay to the final.
Broadcasters were warned beforehand by the tournament organisers not to focus too heavily on Trump because they feared it would create a negative atmosphere.
