A private car crashed into a kerb in Tsuen Wan and the driver fled the scene afterwards.
Police searched the car and seized drugs from the vehicle.
The car was badly damaged after the crash.
The driver was nowhere to be found.
A drug detection dog was deployed to the scene as police carried out their investigation.
Authorities say they received a report at around 10 a.m. that a car crashed into a kerb and then bounced back to the road centre on Cheung Pei Shan Road in the direction towards Sha Tin.
Suspected cocaine was found inside the vehicle, while some drugs were also found discarded in nearby bushes.
Police are searching for the driver.
