Off-duty policeman resigns after claims of being held in Cambodia

Police Commissioner Joe Chow said an off-duty police officer, who was suspected of being in a Cambodian scam farm, had resigned from the force after returning home.
An off-duty police officer earlier sought help from the government after he was suspected of having been tricked into a scam farm. Sources say the officer claimed that he was released after the kidnappers had found a warrant card on him.
Joe Chow said the force had deployed four officers to Cambodia. He said the group had returned to the city with the officer on Thursday.
The officer submitted his resignation afterwards.
Chow said an investigation is ongoing and cannot reveal further details.
