In the International Hot Air Balloon Festival held on the Central Harbourfront, several hot air balloons were briefly inflated this morning, but all were deflated at around 10 a.m.
Around 8 a.m., several hot air balloons were inflated, as four small and two large hot air balloons floated in the wind.
But at around 10 a.m., all the balloons were deflated again.
The event has not been able to offer tethered rides on the balloons as advertised, as the government has not given approval.
As of 5 p.m. yesterday, the Consumer Council had received 28 complaints related to the event, totaling over $40,000, with the highest single case amounting to nearly $5,000.
