Thousands of reservists have begun reporting for duty as Israel's military presses on with its offensive to conquer Gaza City.
The death toll in the strip's largest settlement and surrounding areas continues to rise before Israel fully unloads its war machine.
The tears continue to flow as Palestinians wonder how they survived and loved ones were killed.
Dozens are dying daily in Gaza City as Israel calls up thousands of back-up troops.
This hospital, which doubles as a morgue, reports whole families killed including children.
Many residents have stayed in Gaza City, ahead of the offensive, saying they have no other place to go.
Others have, as instructed by Israel, moved to this refugee camp in the south.
People say they live a miserable existence with several people living together in tents just a few metres wide.
U.N. agencies still operating confirmed fighting in and around Gaza City causing deaths to civilians, as acute malnutrition among these people continues.
Those international aid organisations say with famine widespread, only a ceasefire will stop more deaths from hunger.
There is no ceasefire in sight as Israel continues with its plan.
Tanks and jeeps on the move as military forces mass near the border.
Sixty thousand reservists have been called up for duty, joining the 20,000 already on the ground in Gaza.
Not everyone agrees with the Israeli government's move to expand the war.
These reservists made a point of saying they won't join Prime Minister Benjamin Netayahu's new war effort.
MAX KRESCH, Israeli Reservist:"We are the same reservists and soldiers who dropped everything on October 7th and rushed to the fronts to report for duty to protect our people. It is precisely from that same sense of duty which we are driven to refuse and to use our voices loudly to resist Netanyahu's attempts to sacrifice everything for his own political survival.
The prime minister shrugs off dissent.
Netanyahu lauding the call-ups as he commended soldiers and reservists for their bravery in service, saying Israel is now at a "decisive stage" in its war with Hamas.
The Israeli leader says difficult decisions had to be implemented but they have given Israelis and him the strength to sweep towards victory.
