Military parade marking 80th anniversary of victory in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression held in Beijing

China is holding a large-scale military parade at Tiananmen Square to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
President Xi Jinping inspected the People's Liberation Army on his parade car.
In his speech, Xi said the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression played an important part in the World Anti-Fascist War.
He paid tributes to soldiers who fought in the wars, and thanked other countries for their joint efforts. He said countries should remember history.
In attendance are guests of honour, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
A Hong Kong delegation comprising about 360 people, led by Chief Executive John Lee, are also present.
