From smoothies to smart woks, the Hong Kong Restaurant, Bar and Cafe Fair is serving up fresh ideas at their expo which opened its doors at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.
For three straight days, it serve up a range of food and beverages, catering tech -- and retail solutions.
From machines able to blend fruit into a smoothie in just 90 seconds being used in Japan, Singapore, Indonesia and the Chinese mainland to AI-powered stir-fry machine that mimics the rhythm of a chef's wok.
Beyond the gadgets and gourmet samples, some local exhibitors called on both the industry and government to work together to stimulate local markets given how more Hong Kong people head across the border to shop and dine up north.
The fairs are expected to feature more than 100 exhibitors and about 8,000 global business visitors.
