HK authorities work with mainland and overseas organisations to bust drug trafficking rings

The police and the Customs and Excise Department worked with an overseas organisation to conduct a three-month anti-drug operation, arresting some 100 people and seizing 480 million dollars' worth of drugs.
The operation busted a total of 74 cases, seizing narcotics including marijuana, ketamine and cocaine.
Ninty-six individuals of various nationalities aged between 16 and 69 were arrested, including a drug trafficking ring's leader and core members.
This after local authorities worked with more than 10 mainland and overseas law enforcement agencies between June and August to bust four local drug trafficking organisations.
