President Xi Jinping holds meeting with Russian President in Beijing

President Xi Jinping met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Beijing.

Xi said: "Tomorrow, we will join the President (Putin) and other world leaders in commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. From 1959 to 1993, our mutual attendance at commemorations of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War hosted by each other has become a solid foundation for our bilateral relations."
