Commissioner of Police Joe Chow Yat-ming says an off-duty police officer in Cambodia, who was suspected of being taken to a scam farm, is believed to be safe now.

Chow says police have sent a team to Cambodia to assist.

When asked about details of the operations, the police chief says more will be disclosed after assessments as the team learns more about the situation.

It is understood that the off-duty officer involved said he had travelled to Cambodia via the mainland a few days ago, and when he was taken to the scam park, scammers there found that he holds a police warrant card, and let him go.
