An Israeli airstrike killed the prime minister of the Houthi-controlled government in Yemen's capital, Sanaa, according to the Houthis on Saturday.
He was the most senior Houthi official killed in the Israeli-U.S. campaign against the group.
Ahmed al-Rahawi was killed in a Thursday strike on Sanaa along with a number of ministers. Other ministers and officials were wounded.
The premier was targeted along with other members of his Houthi-controlled government during a "routine meeting."
Al-Rahawi wasn't part of the inner circle of rebel leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi, who runs the military and strategic affairs.
Since October, 2023, the Houthis have been attacking ships in the Red Sea linked to Israel in solidarity with Gaza while also firing missiles at targets inside Israel.
