Fire breaks out at Tuen Mun mall

A fire broke out at Kai Fung Shopping Centre in Tuen Mun, allegedly starting from a cooking stove in a restaurant. No injuries were reported.
Plumes of smoke could be seen billowing out of the mall and spreading to residential units above. Firefighters later arrived to douse the flames.
Police received the report at around 11:30 a.m. Footage captured inside the mall showed smoke engulfing the restaurant. Around 90 people had to be evacuated.
The fire was put out after about 45 minutes, but the area was cordoned off for three hours. Investigations towards the cause of the blaze are underway.
