Secondary school head says voluntary drug testing is effective

Etomidate will be included in the voluntary drug testing campaign under the Healthy School Programme starting from the 2025/26 academic year.
The voluntary drug testing scheme was launched by the Narcotics Division of the Security Bureau.
In the past academic year, the number of secondary schools participating in the programme has increased to 246. For etomidate testing, which will be added to the programme, schools may choose to utilise rapid urine or hair tests.
A secondary school principle said his institution will continue to take part in the programme because it is useful in promoting anti-drug education.
