Police arrested 13 people in Tseung Kwan O for suspected shoplifting, including one mainland Chinese individual and four people of non-Chinese descent.
The stolen items seized during the operation included clothing, toys, snacks, medicine, and beauty products, with a total value of approximately 86,000 dollars.
Between August 1 and this Wednesday, police had conducted anti-shoplifting arrest operations, solving 39 cases and arresting five men and eight women aged between 22 and 69.
Some suspects were organized and resold the stolen goods for profit.
