China's Vice Commerce Minister Li Chenggang will be visiting the U.S. soon to meet with officials there.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce announced the Chinese delegation led by Li will head to the U.S. after wrapping up their Canada trip from August 24th to 27th.
The spokesperson noted China is willing to work with the United States to leverage the bilateral economic and trade consultation mechanism, and resolve issues through equal-footed dialogue and communication.
On Wednesday, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in an interview on Fox Business that "everything is on the table" in trade talks with China, and that the U.S. government is not eyeing a stake in chipmaker Nvidia.
