New U.S. Consul General in HK Julie Eadeh takes office

Newly appointed U.S. Consul-General in Hong Kong and Macao Julie Eadeh arrived in the city today.
She is succeeding Gregory May, who departed last month.
Eadeh, a senior career diplomat, most recently served as Consul-General at the U.S. Consulate in Istanbul, Turkey.
Her previous overseas assignments include postings in Ankara, Hong Kong, Doha, Shanghai, Baghdad, Riyadh and Beirut.
