Israelis rally against war in Gaza, demand release of hostages

Protestors in Israel have waged massive rallies to pressure their government to end the war and secure the release of the remaining hostages in Gaza.
The Netanyahu administration is mounting a full attack on Gaza City which they argue is needed to defeat Hamas.
Tanks and jets were active near the Israeli side of the border early this week as the IDF confirmed operations in strategic areas.
Meanwhile, the hostages' next of kin declared Tuesday a "National Day of Struggle," clamouring for a ceasefire that would secure the release of their loved ones.
Demonstrators held banners and blocked roads in Tel Aviv and elsewhere in the country.
A rally planned outside Israel's defence headquarters is expected to draw thousands of people.
