Transport Department said it handled 194 complaints last year, 40 percent of which were resolved through mediation.
These complaints involved issues related to licensing, transport facilities, and the performance of service operators.
One complaint involved a "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles" renewal notification email that ended up in the spam folder, resulting in a missed deadline for submitting renewal applications.
Another complaint involved passengers being dissatisfied with light minibuses on scheduled service.
The Transport Department said improvements have been made in handling these complaints through mediation.
This includes optimizing the "Northbound Travel for Hong Kong Vehicles" program, which now includes text message reminders to renew on time, in addition to emails.
