Rare Oriental Darter seen in Hainan

The near-threatened species Oriental Darter (Anhinga melanogaster) is a long-necked waterbird which is extremely rare in China.
Its earliest Chinese record dates back to 1931 in Fujian Province. For the subsequent 90 years, there were no records in the Chinese mainland until it was detected again in Yunnan Province in 2021.
Recently, it has been observed for the first time in Hainan Province.
