International Ombudsman Institute launched to improve public governance

The Hong Kong International Ombudsman Institute was officially launched today.
The launching ceremony was presided over by Ombudsman Jack Chan alongside Chief Secretary for Administration Eric Chan.
The institute will provide training for government departments and promote exchange and cooperation with overseas ombudsman institutions.
The city's ombudsman said the institute will help government agencies communicate more effectively and learn from international practices,and this will support Hong Kong's growing role in global public accountability efforts.
