Hospital Authority to roll out e-platform for specialist doctor visits

Chief Executive of the Hospital Authority Libby Lee says a one-stop electronic platform for specialist doctor visits will be launched in a bid to streamline patients' consultation processes and reduce waiting time.
Currently, some more stable cases have to wait more than a year for a consultation at specialist out-patient clinics.
Lee says the rollout is expected to integrate into the "HA Go" app with functions including the appointment booking and blood-taking timeslot registration processes.
The Hospital Authority hopes the new e-platform will help shorten the waiting time by a quarter.
