Cathay Pacific passenger volume rises 24% year-on-year

Cathay Pacific Airway's passenger volume recorded a year-on-year increase of nearly 24 percent.
A total of 3.2 million passengers boarded Cathay Pacific aircraft and its budget airline, HK Express, in July.
The overall passenger volume in the first seven months of the year was more than 16.1 million -- a year-on-year increase of 27 percent.
Meanwhile, the airline's cargo volume in July also rose by 10 percent.
Cathay said the increased volume was due to long-haul flight travellers who are international students, and flights going to South Korea and Southeast Asian countries.
