Hong Kong customs seized over 20 kilograms of illicit gold that criminals hammered into gold foil paper and stashed inside 196 tin boxes.
Hong Kong Customs intercepted the boxes which were supposed to be air-mailed to Japan.
While plastic flowers were placed inside the boxes, gold foil paper was hidden at the bottom.
Customs says the gold seized weighed 26.2 kilograms, with a total market value at 22 million dollars.
Officers believe the move was intended to avoid paying duties.
