Hong Kong Disneyland held a party for child patients at the Hong Kong Children's Hospital. The kids were delighted to see their favourite cartoon characters.
Micky and Minnie brought a royal party to Hong Kong Children's Hospital today. Donning princess and prince costumes donated by Hong Kong Disneyland, dozens of child patients took party at the event with their families.
Zitung, who is five years old, has systemic rheumatoid arthritis and has been treated at the children's hospital since she was seven months old.
She said she was excited because it was her first time to see the Disney characters.
Zitung's mother said she felt unhappy because it was painful for her daughter when getting injections, and sometimes she didn't want to go back to the hospital.
But she would tell Zitung that she can play and make more friends at the hospital.
At the party, volunteers from the theme park gave various performances. Classic Disney characters, such as Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse interacted with the child patients.
The kids could play games to win prizes.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Hong Kong Disneyland has contrubuted over 2.5 million dollars
to transform the supporting facilities in eight local public hospitals, including a "theatre" in a specialist outpatient department.
Dr Lee Tsz-leung, who was the Chief Executive of the hospital, said the theatre was very popular especially when the kids were waiting for their appointments.
Hong Kong Disneyland also presented some painting books to sick kids, through coloring and drawing during their hospital stay, the children are encouraged to face the treatments positively.
