More wildfires break out in Spain

Spain tackled several major wildfires Tuesday in one of the country's most destructive fire seasons in recent decades. This despite temperatures dropping across the Iberian Peninsula.
Thousands of firefighters aided by soldiers and water-bombing aircraft continued to fight fires tearing through parched woodland. The wildfires were especially severe in northwestern Spain, particularly in the Galicia region.
Firefighting units from Germany arrived to help fight the blazes with more than 20 vehicles deployed in the region that borders Portugal.
According to the EU's European Forest Fire Information System, wildfires in Spain have killed four people so far this year and burned more than 382,000 hectares.
