On the second day of his visit to India, Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and attended a meeting on border issues in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The two sides reached ten points of consensus, including the reopening of three traditional border trade markets.
Modi expressed great anticipation for his forthcoming visit China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Tianjin Summit, and his forthcoming meeting with President Xi Jinping.
Modi described last October's summit between the two leaders in Kazan as a turning point in the improvement and development of China-India relations.
Modi emphasized that India and China are partners, not rivals, and face the common task of accelerating development.
Wang Yi said after comprehensive and in-depth discussions, they reached consensus on restarting dialogue mechanisms in various fields, including the deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation and the opposition to unilateral bullying.
