A concern group has petitioned the government calling for the freezing of the minimum allowable wage for foreign domestic helpers.
Some members of Quadripartite Alliance for Harmonious Employment Practices Limited held a petition outside the government's Harbour Building.
They demanded the abolition of the "one-size-fits-all" salary increase system for foreign domestic workers.
From September 28th last year, the minimum allowable wage for foreign domestic helpers was 4,990 dollars per month, a 2.5 percent increase from the 2023.
